Celebrating together – New Year’s Eve magic at the Gendarmenmarkt
In response to popular demand from Berliners and our guests from all over the world, the Christmas Magic Gendarmenmarkt will remain open until the end of the year. After the contemplative Christmas days, the market shows its lively side and puts its visitors in a festive, cheerful mood – perfect for ringing in the New Year.
Jens Herrmann will accompany you through the evening, ensuring a good mood and a real party atmosphere with the greatest hits from four decades.
A special highlight awaits you this year with our spectacular aerial dance: ‘Angel Flight with Stardust’. High above the heads of the audience, an angel floats through the night and fascinates with a breathtaking acrobatic show – a magical moment that enchants young and old alike.
Of course, the New Year’s Eve classic ‘Dinner for One’ is also a must! On our stage, the lovably quirky butler traditionally stumbles over the famous tiger skin rug. A treat for everyone who loves this kind of humour.
As the old year draws to a close, the historic Gendarmenmarkt shines brightly with a magnificent fireworks display accompanied by music, transforming the sky into a sparkling sea of lights from the roof of the concert hall. Afterwards, dancers on our stage welcome in the New Year with a lively waltz – and you are cordially invited to join in.
