With the return of WeihnachtsZauber Gendarmenmarkt to the newly restored Gendarmenmarkt, the supporting program once again unfolds this year on the large arched stage. This gives us the freedom to bring back a broader musical program featuring brass, bands, and a diverse range of duos and solo artists.

For Gendarmenmarkt, new stagings of our traditional performances have been prepared. The program is complemented by a stronger presence of bands as well as numerous new musicians who will bathe the stage in festive splendor.

Beyond the stage, our expanded walk-acts and newly designed market platforms create lively moments: interactive encounters, little surprises, and playful elements immerse visitors in the festive world of WeihnachtsZauber Gendarmenmarkt.

A special focus this year is on Europe’s artistic diversity. The idea of cultural solidarity with our neighbors shapes the program and makes WeihnachtsZauber Gendarmenmarkt 2025 a place where music, artistry, and encounters create a shared, festive experience.

When the Artistokraten take to the WeihnachtsZauber Gendarmenmarkt stage, a special experience unfolds. Led by Martin van Bracht, the charismatic head of this versatile artistic family, acrobats, show artists, comedians, and musicians come together for a performance that has delighted audiences for many years.

For 2025, the Artistokraten have reimagined their evening “Winter Circus Wonderland,” using the large arched stage to present their productions in even more varied ways.

Their popular walk‑act interludes are also part of the program again—this time, for the first time, on our new market platforms, making the encounters even more immediate and atmospheric for visitors.

Look forward to the entire ensemble which, with its familiar joy of performing and Christmas imagination, unfolds its art in a new form and enriches Gendarmenmarkt with poetic moments.

The renowned Szilvia Wolf Ballet School from Biesdorf once again lights up WeihnachtsZauber Gendarmenmarkt with its performances this year. For over 30 years, the school has shaped the dance scene far beyond its district. Its students, who come from across Berlin and the surrounding region, enchant audiences with an impressive blend of classical ballet and modern choreography.

For 2025, Szilvia Wolf and her young ballet dancers have prepared a special new staging: the timeless classic “The Nutcracker” is reinterpreted, filling the stage every weekend with Christmas tradition and fresh artistic design.

The ballet school’s performances are once again a fixed highlight of our supporting program—full of grace, elegance, and festive spirit.

The Christmas spirit truly comes alive through singing together. The Berlin choirs are the heart of the festive ambience at WeihnachtsZauber Gendarmenmarkt. With their festive songs and atmospheric voices, they create a contemplative mood that draws visitors of all ages into the magic of Christmas. Sing along and let the spirit of the season resonate in every note.

The Sonari Choir Berlin has been performing at our market for over 20 years. With their repertoire, the gentlemen in white scarves delight the audience. They sing Advent and Christmas songs that encourage everyone to sing along, sway and dance.

This year, the well-known Sonari Choir invites you to sing along by the Christmas tree and looks forward to seeing you there!
